Frequently Asked Questions
The card arrives flat with slots cut into the bottom flaps that slide together to form a self-supporting triangular stand, no glue or extra parts needed. Once interlocked, the 325gsm card stock is stiff enough to hold its shape under normal use, so it stands up fine on a table without collapsing, though like any freestanding card it isn't meant to take a hard knock or a lot of weight.
A6 is the more compact option and suits a small restaurant table where you don't want it taking up too much space next to plates and glasses. A5 gives more room for detail and reads better from a bit further away, which makes it a better fit for a counter or bar top where it's viewed from a slightly greater distance.
Soft touch is meant to feel consistent no matter which way you pick the card up, so it's applied to both faces. UV gloss is more about visual impact on the side that's actually facing the customer, so it's applied to the front where it matters most, while the back can stay a plainer, unlaminated finish since it's rarely the side people look at.
Unlaminated gives a clean matte look and keeps costs down, which suits a simple, no-frills message. UV gloss adds shine and vibrancy to the front, good for grabbing attention with a bold offer or bright imagery. Soft touch gives the most premium feel in the hand, which suits a higher end venue wanting every table touchpoint to feel a bit more considered.
Being near a window is fine as long as it isn't sitting in direct, prolonged sunlight day after day, which can fade the print over time the same as any printed material would. It's really outdoor exposure to rain and damp that this card isn't built for, rather than being anywhere near natural light indoors.
