Choose from Three Premium Paper Stocks
📌 Silk Paper (250gsm & 350gsm) – Smooth and refined with a satin-like texture, silk paper enhances colours and provides a luxurious, professional finish. Ideal for high-end menus that need to impress.
📌 Coated Paper (300gsm) – Featuring a glossy coating that makes colours pop and details stand out, this option is perfect for menus that demand attention. The thicker, premium feel ensures a high-quality look and durability.

💡 Tax-Saving Benefit – Menus printed on paper below 300gsm may be tax-exempt.

Ensure your creased menu artwork is set up correctly for a flawless print. Follow these guidelines to achieve the best results:
✅ Artwork Submission: Provide your design as a two-page, double-sided PDF (e.g., for an A4 folded to A5 menu, page 1 should display pages 4 & 1, while page 2 should display pages 2 & 3).
✅ Landscape Crease Setup: Submit front and back pages on the same file, with the front page correctly oriented and the back page rotated 180°. Inside pages should also be rotated 180° to align perfectly upon folding.
✅ File Requirements:
-
Include a 3mm bleed on all sides
-
Supply files in CMYK format
-
Embed or outline all fonts
-
Ensure 300dpi resolution for sharp, high-quality prints
💡 Pro Tip: Print a mock-up of your design to ensure the layout aligns correctly before final submission.
Frequently Asked Questions
Creasing presses a controlled indent into the paper fibres before folding, which lets the paper bend along a weakened line rather than the ink and coating simply snapping under the stress of a hand fold. Folding heavier or coated paper without that pre-crease is far more likely to leave a rough, cracked line, especially on darker or heavily inked designs.
A3 folded down gives you the most content space if you need several sections, but for something handed over quickly at a stall or counter, A5 keeps things simple and easy to hold in one hand while ordering. It's worth matching the size to how the menu's actually going to be used rather than just picking the biggest option available.
None of these three, silk, coated or gloss, are waterproof, they're standard paper stocks that'll mark or warp if properly soaked. If spills are a regular concern, like at a busy bar, the dedicated waterproof menu product using Agfa Synaps material is the better fit rather than any of the paper options here.
It arrives pre-creased along the fold lines but not folded shut, so a light crease is already pressed in ready for you to fold along, rather than needing you to crease it from scratch. It's supplied flat mainly for easier storage and handling before you fold it into shape.
