Technical Specifications for Chalkboard Signs
To ensure the highest print quality, please provide artwork in the following format:
✔ File Type: CMYK PDF (preferably PDF/x4)
✔ Fonts: Outline or embed fonts
✔ Resolution: 150 dpi
✔ Quiet Borders: Minimum 10mm (ideally 25mm)
How to Set Up Your Chalkboard Artwork:
1️⃣ Create two new spot colour swatches: “Spot_1” and “Spot_2” (both set to 100% Black, Spot Colour).
2️⃣ Place design elements on the Artwork layer at the bottom.
3️⃣ Add white design elements to the Spot_1 layer using the “Spot_1” swatch colour.
4️⃣ Duplicate these graphics onto the Spot_2 layer and apply the “Spot_2” swatch colour.
5️⃣ Select both Spot_1 and Spot_2 graphics, and set them to Overprint Fill.
🔍 Important Note: Use a minimum font size of 18pt and a line weight of 2pt to ensure clear, high-quality printing.
